1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how The Energy Collective Company (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you purchase or use The Cafecito Roadmap (the “Product”), a digital course created by Alejandro Alpago.
2. Information We Collect
When you purchase the Product, we (through our payment processor, Stripe) collect your email address, payment details, and billing address. We do not store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly. If you join our community space on Telegram, Telegram collects your username and profile information according to its own privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: process your payment and deliver access to the Product, send you your receipt and access instructions, respond to support requests, calculate and collect any applicable sales tax or VAT, and moderate our community space.
4. Payment Processing & Taxes
Payments are processed by Stripe. We use Stripe’s Managed Payments, which means Stripe also handles global tax compliance — automatically calculating and collecting applicable sales tax or VAT based on your location, along with fraud prevention and payment disputes. Stripe’s use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy). We never see or store your full payment card details.
5. Community Forum (Telegram)
Access to the Product currently includes an invitation to a community space on Telegram. Telegram is operated by a third party, not by us. Anything you share there is subject to Telegram’s own privacy policy and terms of service. We may remove members or content that violate our Terms & Conditions.
6. Cookies & Analytics
We do not currently use analytics tools, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers on this site. If that changes in the future, we will update this policy to describe what we use and why.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers needed to run the Product and this site — currently Stripe (payments and tax compliance) and Telegram (community space) — and only to the extent needed for them to provide their service.
8. Data Retention
We keep your purchase and payment records for as long as needed to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete other information we hold about you at any time, subject to those obligations.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at alessandro@whitestairs.studio.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Product is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 18.
11. International Users
We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored there. By using the Product, you consent to this transfer and processing.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Product after an update means you accept the revised policy.
